Abstract
Cryogenic machining of aerospace alloys presents unique challenges due to the extreme temperatures involved and the propensity for tool wear and degradation. In this study, we focus on the development of innovative protective materials aimed at enhancing the performance of cutting tools in cryogenic machining applications. Specifically, we explore the development of advanced coatings through thin film deposition techniques. These coatings are designed to provide a protective barrier against thermal and mechanical stresses.
