Biography
After three years of engineer studies in mechanics and microtechnics (ENSMM), followed by three years of doctoral studies at Femto-st Institute, Aurélien Besnard obtained the PhD degree in 2010 by the University of Franche Comté. During the academic year 2010-2011, he served as assistant professor at the Campus of Cluny.
In september 2011, he obtained the position of associate professor.
In 2019, during six months, he was visiting professor at the University of Namur (Belgium).
His research activities focus on thin film deposition by sputtering (PVD) with a joined experimental and digital approach.
